Doing The LaLa Two Step

I had a nice little post all ready to go for today, then I rethought some of the tracks. To entertain you whilst I revamp, here are some new releases on LaLa I thought were worth pointing out:

I posted the Tristen track “Eager For Your Love” a while back. It’s available on the Deceivers Are Achievers EP, along with the excellent “Matchstick Murder.” I think “Eager For Your Love” is the best track of the bunch, but the whole EP is worth a spin.

I’ve heard lots of bad dance lately, so it’s with great relief that I can point to We‘s Essential EP. It’s trance with enough of a twist to keep me thinking about the songwriting while dancing. That’s surprisingly hard to do.

One of my favorite things to do on LaLa is listen to singles releases, which is a great springboard to finding new favorite albums. This Konshens track impressed me from the first verse, inspiring me to dig further into his music. There’s some good stuff there.

I enjoyed this Black John – Acoustic EP by The Soul Of John Black a lot more than most would have expected from me. It’s soulful, bluesy, and a bit funky all rolled up into one impeccable solo performance. We need more of this kind of thing in the world today.
