Just Keep It Cool
[via]Let the robber barons choose money over people – it comes with broken relationships, predatory friendships, and a neverending list of missed moments. Keep it simple, keep it nice, and keep it cool. When life brings it, even one kind stranger is worth more than the fattest bank account. So be the kind stranger and take care of others. For those who chose money – well, it comes in handy to pay for the Ambien.

I can’t believe I haven’t posted this Jookabox track yet. I even double checked the archives using multiple searches to make sure. It’s a flowing cool, like walking the streets with your hood up, sunglasses on, leaving an aura of stylish understanding on every step you take.

Speaking of walking around, this Titiyo track “Crystal Clear Mud” is like hitting the streets in an old European city, coat collar pulled tight to ward off the chill, watching the slight drizzle blanket everything with a thin mist. Perfect for introspective moments where you do an emotional inventory, deciding what you want to take with you into the next year and what’s best left behind.

I was quite taken with this Tim Williams song “I Hit Another Wall.” With its simple Tom Petty-esque chord progression, this track is like a warm blanket to wrap yourself in and be safe, even if for only 3 minutes and 14 seconds.

Here’s a bonus video from Good Old War for their song “Weak Man” – it’s constructed like a birdhouse made of simple twigs, delicate to the look but hardy enough to last years of exposure to the elements.
