It’s Gonna Be A Good Week
[via]It’s gonna be a good week – I can feel it in my bones. That’s my story anyway and I’m stickin’ to it.
The release from this past week I’ve been most looking forward to but for reasons various haven’t actually gotten my hands on is the new A Place To Bury Strangers album Exploding Head. I have, however, been following their tour blog, which is entertaining. But, oh my, the massiveness of “In Your Heart” – one of the best tracks I’ve heard all year.

Here’s a nice Datarock remix by Holy Ghost.

The Laughing have let loose a nice little bit of dirty fisted harmony with “Runner,” a track off their self-released album FEVER. Snazzy stuff here!

The Hidden Cameras released Origin:Orphan, which included this mystifying blend of 70s ELO, Hopalong Cassidy drums, and verse melodies that could be well cribbed from Super Furry Animals. Delightful!

This track by The Wooden Sky snuck up on me like a ninja on powder soft snow. Next thing I know I’m knocked flat – I swear I never saw him swing. I should know better. Voodoo, that’s what it is! Ninja voodoo! Anyway, buy more here.

Straight up, I admit to not expecting much from a band called Peephole, even though they are cool enough to give away their EP free. And you know what? I was totally wrong. Good on ya, Peepholers. Boy, that sounds bad …
