I cut my musical baby teeth on Blood, Sweat & Tears and Chicago, so any band with a horn section hits my stereo with copious amounts of goodwill built in. When they’re good on top of that, well brother, that’s just bonus!

I have no idea what to make of Avon Junkies. It’s like a time travelling swing band’s horn section met up with a hyperactive metal band and were told “You have to play for a rabid Oingo Boingo crowd – make it work!” These guys are insane. Which, of course, makes me want to hear more.

I love this video – all the darkness and the band playing in front of a vintage movie. Glamorous, sexy, and a bit dangerous.
